Success for Texas Alicia's Law! $1.6 million has been added to the state budget for law enforcement task forces in Dallas and Houston!
First it was California.
Then Tennessee and Virginia and, just over a month ago, Idaho. In state after state, Alicia Kozakiewicz and PROTECT are fighting for states to fund child rescue - and winning.
Now, the unfinished business of #AliciasLaw is complete: $1.6 million added to the state budget for law enforcement task forces in Dallas and Houston!
These funds will dramatically increase arrests and child rescues over the next two to three years. Hundreds of children desperately in need of help will be found and protected - or spared predictable harm - thanks to law enforcement officers put to work with these funds. In the next decade, that number will grow to thousands.
This huge victory would never have been possible without YOU. The power of PROTECT members across America and around the world is what made his campaign a success. Two individuals deserve special thanks.
PROTECT Texas Chair, Chart Westcott, fought a tireless battle in Austin, securing the funds to rescue countless Texas children.
And PROTECT warrior, Alicia Kozakiewicz, bravely added another state to the win column for Alicia's Law, in her 50-state drive to make America safer for children.
